Kwara United GM Fined ₦10 Million for Security Breach at President Federation Cup Final

The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has imposed a ₦10 million fine on Bashir Badawiy, General Manager of Kwara United, over a serious breach of security during the 2025 President Federation Cup final.

According to the LSFA, Badawiy stormed the VVIP section of the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, where five state governors and other high-profile dignitaries were seated, in what was described as a reckless and dangerous act.

The association stated that Badawiy’s actions endangered lives and violated key security protocols put in place for the high-stakes final.

As part of the sanctions, Badawiy is required to pay the fine and tender a written apology to both the LSFA and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on or before 15 July 2025.

The LSFA said the disciplinary action reinforces its commitment to maintaining order and ensuring safety at all football events in the state.
