NNL25 Super 8: Osun United Land in Asaba with Eyes on NPFL Promotion

Osun United have arrived in Asaba with high hopes as they prepare to contest in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 Playoff — the final hurdle on the road to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) promotion.

Before their departure from Osogbo, Club Chairman Gbenga Ololade Oriowo charged the team to remain united and serve as worthy ambassadors of Osun State. He urged the players to approach the challenge with discipline and teamwork.

Head Coach Seye Ajayi echoed the chairman's sentiments, calling for full concentration from his squad as they kick off preparations for the playoff fixtures in Asaba.

Striker Ebenezer Odeyemi, one of the key figures in the team, is confident of a successful campaign. The forward, who previously lifted two silverwares at the Stephen Keshi Stadium — including the 2023 Federation Cup with Bendel Insurance — believes the venue will once again bring him good fortune.

The ‘Omoluabi Warriors’ will battle fierce contenders in the playoff, including Doma United, Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Yobe Desert Stars, Kun Khalifa FC, Warri Wolves, and Crown FC.

With their opening match set for Saturday, Osun United will need to be at their sharpest to book a return to the NPFL. Armed with belief and a clear objective, the team is determined to deliver a performance that will make their fans and the entire state proud.
