Abia Comets Unveil Eguavoen and Teibowei Ahead of New NNL Season



Abia Comets FC have officially unveiled Coaches Monday Eguavoen and Dipreye Teibowei as the new leaders of the club's technical crew ahead of the 2025/26 Nigerian National League (NNL) season.

The duo signed one-year contracts with the Umuahia-based side, with an option for renewal at the end of the campaign.

Eguavoen, brother to former Super Eagles coach and current NFF Technical Director Austine Eguavoen, brings experience and fresh ambition to the role. His assistant, Teibowei, widely known as "Computer", previously served as Technical Adviser at Bayelsa United FC.

Following their unveiling, both coaches expressed their commitment to building a competitive team and achieving the club’s targets for the season.

Club chairman Boniface Alozie, while addressing the media, stated that the appointments were based on merit and assured fans that the management would work closely with the new coaching team to achieve success in the coming campaign.

Abia Comets have fixed 18 August 2025 as their official resumption date for the new season. Both returning and new players are expected back in camp by 15 August to begin preseason preparations.
