Dimeji Lawal Bids Emotional Farewell to 3SC

Dimeji Lawal has officially penned a heartfelt farewell message to the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) family following his departure from the role of General Manager.

In his message, Lawal expressed deep gratitude to God and to all those who supported him during his tenure with the Oluyole Warriors.

"I am glad and delighted to express my profound gratitude to God Almighty, who was with me all through my stay in our beloved Shooting Stars Sports Club," he said.

He acknowledged the role of Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, for giving him the opportunity to serve the club in a senior capacity. Lawal also appreciated Honourable Wasilat Adefemi Adegoke, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, alongside the staff of the ministry, the Oyo State Sports Council, and the Oyo State Football Association led by Oba James Odeniran.

He thanked the Oyo State Referees and Coaches Association for their cooperation, and also reserved words of appreciation for the past and current chairmen of 3SC, including coaches, players, and other staff members.

Lawal did not leave out the fans and supporters. "Let me not forget the uniformed Supporters Club and the fans as a whole for their unflinching support always, which always ginger the team during my stay. Let the spirit continue," he wrote.

He also commended members of the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria (SWAN) for their guidance and feedback throughout his time at the club.

Describing his time at 3SC as a "rewarding experience," Lawal noted that he leaves only as an administrator, while his love and loyalty to the club will remain unchanged.

As 3SC prepares for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season, Lawal wished the club continued success.

"Positive memories linger on as I bid bye to the club... but my loyalty, love, support and passion for the Oluyole Warriors will forever remain," he concluded.
