The Orumogege Football Competition commenced in Ogbomoso with an entertaining curtain-raiser as Masifa United secured a 1–0 victory over Jordan FC.
The tournament, organised to mark the second coronation anniversary of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Soun of Ogbomoso, opened with flair and excitement.
Masifa United, the most decorated club in Ogbomosoland, made their mark early in the contest when Akinola Taofeek scored the decisive goal just four minutes into play. The strike proved enough to seal a winning start for the club in what promises to be a thrilling competition.
