The CAF Awards 2025 in Rabat delivered a night of dominance for Morocco and another moment of glory for Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie, who retained her CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third consecutive year.
The ceremony brought together top players, coaches and football icons from across Africa in celebration of the continent’s finest performers.

Morocco’s Big Night
Morocco enjoyed a historic sweep:
- Achraf Hakimi, after a standout year with Paris Saint-Germain that included Champions League and Ligue 1 success, won the CAF Men’s Player of the Year.
- Ghizlane Chebbak secured the CAF Women’s Player of the Year after finishing as WAFCON top scorer and moving to Al-Hilal.
- Yassine Bounou was named CAF Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year following a strong season that featured a FIFA Club World Cup Best XI selection.
- Othmane Maamma and Doha El Madani claimed both Young Player awards.
- The Morocco Under-20 team earned Men’s National Team of the Year.
Chiamaka Nnadozie’s Continued Brilliance
Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie once again proved her class by winning the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third year running. Her performances were instrumental in the Super Falcons’ CAF WAFCON victory in Morocco.
Nigeria’s impressive year also saw the Super Falcons named Women’s National Team of the Year.
Club and Interclub Honours
Egypt’s Pyramids were crowned CAF Men’s Club of the Year after lifting their first CAF Champions League title, led by Interclub Player of the Year Fiston Mayele.

- Men’s Assistant Referee of the Year: Liban Abdoulrazack
- Women’s Referee of the Year: Shamirah Nabadda

Goal of the Year
Tanzania’s Clement Mzize earned the only fan-voted award for his spectacular long-range strike for Young Africans against TP Mazembe.
The ceremony showcased Africa’s brightest stars, with Chiamaka Nnadozie and Morocco’s football excellence taking centre stage.
