Bendel Insurance Cruise Past Kwara United in Benin

Bendel Insurance FC secured a comfortable 2–0 victory over Kwara United on Sunday evening at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, to strengthen their Nigeria Premier Football League campaign.

The hosts took the lead in the 16th minute when Akpan Emanuel rose highest to head home a fine delivery, giving Insurance early control of the contest.

Kwara United struggled to settle as Bendel Insurance continued to press, and the pressure told again in the 39th minute. Kayode Oke finished calmly after a well-worked move, converting Chinedu Nwosu’s precise pass from the right flank to double the advantage.

Insurance went into the break firmly in command, maintaining their 2–0 lead at half-time.

Akpan Emanuel was withdrawn in the 69th minute, with Efe Obiomo introduced as Insurance managed the game effectively in the second half.

Further changes followed late on, as Efe Enabulele, Chinedu Nwosu and Kayode Oke made way for Stanley Okorom, Nwangboje and Victor, ensuring fresh legs as the home side saw out the contest.

Four minutes of added time were played, but Kwara United failed to find a way back as Bendel Insurance closed out a deserved win in front of their supporters.
