NPFL Announces Mid-Season Break, Confirms January Transfer Window

The Nigeria Premier Football League has confirmed a mid-season break for the 2024/2025 campaign, with league activities set to pause from December 29 to January 13.

The break is designed to allow clubs time to rest, regroup and address technical and administrative matters ahead of the second half of the season. With the race for the league title and continental qualification expected to intensify, the pause offers teams an opportunity to recalibrate their ambitions.

The NPFL also announced that the January transfer window will open on January 1 and close on January 31, 2026. During this period, clubs will be permitted to reinforce their squads, offload surplus players and make tactical adjustments.

League action is scheduled to resume immediately after the break, with fixtures continuing as teams push towards meeting their respective objectives for the season.
