Morocco will set the stage for the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations with a high-profile musical concert led by global stars French Montana and Davido at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat on Saturday, 20 December.
The event, which begins at 18:00 local time, forms part of an ambitious entertainment programme unveiled by CAF, TotalEnergies and the Kingdom of Morocco as the host nation prepares to welcome Africa’s biggest football tournament.
Organisers say the concert is designed to transform the build-up to AFCON 2025 into a continental celebration of music, culture and unity, bringing together fans from across Africa and beyond before the first ball is kicked.
Alongside French Montana and Davido, the Rabat concert will feature Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui, emerging urban artist Says’z and the widely acclaimed Franco-Moroccan performer Lartiste.
The line-up reflects a blend of African and international sounds, combining Afrobeats, urban music, pop and traditional influences in what is positioned as the signature event of the opening weekend.
French Montana will headline the show in what is being described as a symbolic homecoming. Born in Morocco and now based in the United States, the rapper has built a global reputation with chart-topping albums including Excuse My French and Jungle Rules, as well as international hits such as Unforgettable.
His appearance is expected to draw significant global attention to the opening celebrations, reinforcing AFCON 2025’s international profile.
Nigerian superstar Davido will also take centre stage, further underlining the tournament’s continental reach. Widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential modern artists, Davido has played a key role in taking Afrobeats to the world through albums such as A Good Time, A Better Time and Timeless.
With sold-out tours and major awards to his name, his presence is seen as a statement of African pride and cultural confidence.
Morocco’s Douaa Lahyaoui will represent the host nation’s new generation of talent. Known for blending contemporary pop with Moroccan identity, she has gained millions of online views and performed at several international events.
Rising artist Says’z is expected to bring youthful energy to the fan zone, showcasing a modern urban sound shaped by African and global influences.
Lartiste completes the line-up with his genre-blending style and cross-cultural appeal. The Franco-Moroccan star has enjoyed widespread success across Africa, Europe and the Middle East, with numerous gold and platinum records.
