Plateau United forward Sadeeq Yusuf has assured supporters that the club will push for a respectable finish in the 2025–26 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
Yusuf made an instant impact on Sunday, scoring the decisive goal on his debut as Plateau United secured a 1–0 victory over Kwara United at the New Jos Stadium.
The forward, who was making his first competitive appearance for the club, expressed delight at opening his account and praised the fans for their backing.
“I feel very happy scoring on my debut,” Yusuf said after the match.
“I want to thank the club fans for their support and I want to promise them that we won’t let them down.”
The win lifted Plateau United’s morale as they continue their league campaign. The Jos-based side currently sit 12th on the NPFL standings with 33 points.
