Nationwide League One has outlined mandatory requirements for clubs ahead of the 2026 Pre-competition Medical Assessment Exercise.
The Nigerian third-tier league body stated that the health and safety of players remain a top priority and warned that only compliant clubs will be allowed to participate in the medical screening.
According to the directive, evidence of payment is the foremost requirement. Only clubs that have fully settled their registration and participation fees for the 2026 season will be scheduled for the exercise.
Clubs must also have completed their registration process and be in physical possession of official player licences. The league made it clear that no player will be screened without presenting a valid NLO-issued licence at the assessment centre.
The NLO added that any club that arrives at the screening venue without meeting the two requirements will be turned back. It stressed that there will be no exceptions, as the measures are necessary to maintain the integrity of medical records and league documentation.
Clubs have therefore been urged to finalise outstanding payments and collect their licences from the NLO Secretariat or respective Zonal Offices to avoid exclusion from the exercise.
