Nigeria international Rasheedat Ajibade has reiterated her commitment to grassroots football development after the Rasheedat Ajibade Foundation held talks with Plateau State Governor Caleb Muftwang in Jos.
Ajibade described the meeting as a great honour, noting that the foundation's visit to Plateau State focused on advancing women's football at the grassroots level, with particular attention on coaching development and player education.
According to her, the foundation remains committed to ensuring that talented young athletes receive the support needed to maximise their potential and contribute positively to their communities.
She stated that sports talent development plays a vital role in building stronger communities, adding that the foundation is working to create opportunities that will help young footballers become the best versions of themselves.
Ajibade also stressed the importance of investing in coaches, protecting young players and creating pathways for boys and girls in football, saying such efforts are crucial to the development of Africa.
The foundation expressed appreciation to Governor Muftwang for receiving its delegation and providing an opportunity to discuss sports development at the highest level in the state.
Ajibade added that the foundation remains committed to driving positive change within the sports ecosystem and expanding opportunities for emerging talents.
