El-Kanemi Warriors FC have expressed deep gratitude to their supporters following a dramatic escape from relegation in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
In an official statement signed by the club’s media officer, Aliyu Mustapha, the management, technical crew, backroom staff, and players extended appreciation to their fans worldwide, acknowledging their unwavering support throughout a challenging season.
"We sincerely apologize for all the challenges you have endured while supporting the Babagana Umara Zulum Boys," the club said.
The Warriors, who began the season with a record-breaking 10-game unbeaten run—the longest in NPFL history—faced a tough second half of the campaign that pushed them into a relegation battle. However, the team managed to secure their top-flight status in the closing stages of the season.
"Alhamdulillah, Allah has answered our prayers, and we have survived the relegation battle. We remain in the elite league once again," the statement read.
Looking ahead, the club promised to return stronger next season, aiming to become a leading force in Nigerian football. They also reaffirmed their commitment to the fans, stating, "No fans, no football."
The club concluded by thanking their loyal supporters, describing them as the "finest supporters club and fan base in the world."
El-Kanemi Warriors now turn their focus to rebuilding ahead of the next NPFL campaign.
