As Nigeria’s Flying Eagles gear up for their U20 AFCON semi-final clash against South Africa, head coach Aliyu Zubairu has voiced strong confidence in his team’s readiness.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s match in Egypt, Zubairu revealed that the Nigerian side has conducted thorough analysis of their opponents.
“I was at the stadium and watched South Africa against DR Congo,” Zubairu said. “We now have a good understanding of how they play. They’re a strong side, but we believe we can neutralise their strengths and exploit their weaknesses.”
Zubairu, who also manages El Kanemi Warriors, stressed the importance of solid preparation and expressed optimism about securing a place in the final.
