Kano Pillars FC have announced a four-week break for their players and technical crew following the conclusion of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The club confirmed that the break begins on Thursday, May 29, 2025, with resumption scheduled for Monday, June 30, 2025.
During the break, players are required to remain reachable and attentive to updates via the club’s official WhatsApp group. Any changes to the resumption date or further instructions will be communicated through that channel.
The Sai Masu Gida ended the season in 9th place on the NPFL table, amassing 53 points from 38 matches—a six-point improvement from their previous campaign. The team also ranked among the highest-scoring sides in the league, with several notable away victories contributing to a solid season.
Club Chairman Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar commended the collective efforts of all stakeholders in a statement reflecting on the season.
“On behalf of the board, I wish to sincerely thank our players, technical crew, supporters, media team, and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful conclusion of the 2024/2025 season. Your dedication, sacrifice, and support have been the backbone of our progress," he said.
Preparations for the new season are already underway, with the club’s management expected to evaluate performances and make strategic decisions aimed at improving the squad.
Kano Pillars also expressed gratitude to their supporters nationwide and beyond, noting their continued belief and encouragement as a driving force for the club.
