Shooting Stars SC goalkeeper Mustapha Lawal recorded his 16th clean sheet of the season in Wednesday’s match against Sunshine Stars, pulling ahead in the race for the NPFL25 Golden Glove.
Nicknamed "The Black Spider," Lawal now sits above Rangers International’s Jimoh Lucky and Remo Stars’ Serge Obasa, who both have 15 clean sheets.
Shooting Stars will be in action again this afternoon, facing Kano Pillars in a Matchday 37 clash at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano. All eyes will be on Lawal as he looks to extend his lead in the clean sheet tally.
