The Nationwide League One (NLO) Disciplinary Committee has taken firm action following a controversial match between CAMPOS FC and A&A FC played on May 9, 2025, at the AKWA Center. The game ended in a shocking 15-2 win for CAMPOS FC, prompting a discreet investigation.
After reviewing the circumstances surrounding the match, the NLO has officially canceled the result, citing match compromise.
Both clubs—CAMPOS FC and A&A FC—have been suspended indefinitely pending the outcome of a full investigation by the Nigeria Football Integrity Unit. All players and officials from both teams are also barred from football activities until further notice.
In addition, the four match officials, including the match commissioner, have been suspended and instructed to step down from all football engagements.
The NLO has directed both clubs to fully comply with these sanctions and warned that failure to do so could lead to further disciplinary measures.
The decision is subject to appeal at the Nigeria Football Federation Disciplinary Committee.
