In a bid to uphold the integrity of competition, the Nigeria National League (NNL) has mandated that all final day fixtures in Conferences C and D for the 2024/2025 season will kick off simultaneously at 3:00 PM. Conference D matches are scheduled for Saturday, May 17, while Conference C fixtures will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
The directive was issued by NNL Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Danlami Alanana, through an official letter to the clubs involved. According to Alanana, the synchronized schedule is aimed at preventing match manipulation and ensuring fairness as the regular season concludes.
“Because we are in the last stage, we want equal opportunity for clubs to progress in transparency and trust in the League,” Alanana stated.
The move aligns with global best practices, where leagues implement simultaneous final day matches to avoid teams gaining an advantage by knowing the outcomes of other games.

Conference C – Sunday, 18 May 2025 (3:00 PM)
- Jigawa Golden Stars vs Sokoto United
- Wikki Tourists vs Zamfara United
- Mighty Jets vs Barau FC
Conference D – Saturday, 17 May 2025 (3:00 PM)
- Sporting Supreme Abuja vs Kebbi United
- Yobe Desert Stars vs Basira FC (Lafia, Nasarawa)
- Kada Warriors vs Adamawa United
The NNL has also instructed State Football Associations to provide adequate security and logistical support at all venues. Emphasis has been placed on maintaining safety and operational standards as the season reaches its decisive stage.
