Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo has outlined his plan to prepare the team for next season’s CAF Inter-club competitions, emphasizing squad reinforcement and early preparation.
Speaking to the club’s media team, Amapakabo stressed the need to strengthen the squad ahead of the continental challenge.
“No team is ever truly complete—every team needs reinforcements,” he said. “We’ll be competing at a level different from what we’re used to, so it’s essential to bolster the team with new players.”
The Umuahia-based side will represent Nigeria on the continental stage for the first time, and the coach is determined to make the most of the opportunity.
“We’ll make key additions, plan ambitiously, and begin preparations immediately. There’s no time to rest—it’s time to get serious,” Amapakabo added.
Abia Warriors secured their continental spot with a strong domestic campaign, and the club now aims to leave a mark beyond Nigeria.
