NPFL Mandates Uniform Kickoff Time for Matchday 37 Fixtures

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced that all Matchday 37 fixtures will kick off simultaneously at 3pm on Sunday, May 11.

NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, said the decision is aimed at maintaining sporting fairness across all clubs, especially as the season nears its climax.

Owumi explained that while the initial 3pm kickoff was planned for the title presentation in Ikenne, a broader assessment of fixtures influencing continental qualifications and relegation battles led to the adoption of a uniform kickoff time across all venues.

Matchday 37 features several crucial encounters, including champions Remo Stars hosting Ikorodu City, who are in the race for a top-three finish. Abia Warriors, also in contention for a continental spot, will host El-Kanemi Warriors in Umuahia.
