Former Super Eagles defender and current Anambra State FA Chairman, Chikeluo Iloenyosi, has praised the leadership and tactical intelligence of Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, describing him as the right man to lead Nigeria back to football greatness.
Speaking during his visit to London where the national team is currently camped, Iloenyosi commended Chelle’s ability to foster unity within the squad, noting that the team spirit under the coach is "wonderful" and key to recent positive performances.
“The manager is doing everything possible to carry every player along,” Iloenyosi said. “There is unity in the team and that is crucial. You can see it in the way they play — there’s cohesion and belief.”
He further lauded Chelle’s tactical approach, particularly his ability to read opponents and adjust accordingly. “His tactical intelligence is clear. You can see the team adapting and outplaying strong opposition,” he added.
Iloenyosi, a respected voice in Nigerian football, urged fans and stakeholders to offer steady support to both the coach and players. According to him, consistent backing will only strengthen the team and help them achieve greater success.
“The Super Eagles are on the rise, and with continued support, I believe this is the beginning of a great era,” he said.
Iloenyosi’s endorsement adds to growing optimism surrounding the Super Eagles under Chelle’s leadership, as the team continues to build momentum ahead of upcoming fixtures.
