Rising football talent Nelson Sule has set his sights on finding the net more often and providing assists as the N-Youth League progresses. The forward, who netted 15 goals in the just-concluded group stage, attributes his success to divine grace and personal dedication.
“My expectation is to score more goals and help my team with assists throughout the league,” Sule told Enyimba Youth Team Media (EYTM) in an exclusive chat.
When asked about the key to his impressive goal-scoring run, Sule remained humble: “The key to my success is just God and dedication to the game.”
The young striker draws inspiration from Real Madrid star Vinicius Júnior. “He’s my biggest inspiration in football. My playing style is all about Vinicius Júnior,” Sule said, adding that he dreams of one day sharing the pitch with Vinicius and French star Kylian Mbappé.
Sule’s passion for the game goes beyond the pitch. Before matches, he tunes into worship songs to calm his mind and focuses on rest. “The only thing I do is relax, rest very well, and think about the game,” he shared.
Among his 15 goals, Sule singled out his fourth against Abia Warriors Youth Team as his favourite, praising the quality of the build-up.
Off the pitch, he stays grounded. “I eat light food, take some fruits, and relax my mind,” he said. After each match, the first person he calls is his mother, who he says is always excited and supportive.
Sule also praised his striking partner, Eslin Lawrence, calling him his best so far in the tournament. And when it comes to celebrations, he keeps it iconic: “The CR7 celebration — I love it!”
With such drive, faith, and form, Nelson Sule is one to watch as the N-Youth League heats up.
