Sporting Lagos saw their hopes of qualifying for the NNL25 Super 8 dashed after a dramatic 3-3 draw against Solution FC on Saturday.
In a pulsating encounter, Sporting appeared to have sealed all three points when they scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time to lead 3-2. But just one minute later, Solution FC struck back to level the tie in the 95th minute, ending Sporting’s campaign in heartbreak.
The result means Sporting Lagos have concluded their league fixtures and must now watch from the sidelines as Osun United and Calabar Rovers — both with one game remaining — battle for the final Super 8 qualification slot.
Only one of the two sides can advance, leaving Sporting's late slip as a costly blow in their quest for promotion.
