Former Enyimba FC head coach and Nigerian football legend, Kadiri Ikhana, is currently in critical condition and receiving treatment at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in Edo State.
Ikhana, a key member of Nigeria’s victorious 1980 Africa Cup of Nations squad, was recently transferred to the facility for an emergency blood transfusion.
The 72-year-old former international is best remembered for leading Enyimba FC to their historic CAF Champions League triumph in 2003, a landmark achievement in Nigerian club football history.
Fans and well-wishers across the country have expressed their concern and are praying for his recovery.
