Crown FC Arrive Asaba for NNL Super 8 Play-Off



Crown FC of Ogbomoso have safely arrived in Asaba, Delta State ahead of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 play-off scheduled to kick off on Saturday, 5 July at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.

The Ajilete Warriors departed Ogbomoso early Wednesday morning with a contingent of 28 players, technical staff, and members of the management team.

Crown FC finished second in Conference A, just behind Warri Wolves, amassing 36 points after an impressive campaign that included an unbeaten home run, three away victories and two draws. The Oyo-based side will battle Osun United, Kun Khalifat and Warri Wolves in the southern group of the promotion play-off.

Their arrival in Asaba marks a critical step in their push for a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), with the new season set to begin on Friday, 22 August 2025.

Team captain Ugochukwu Anozie voiced the squad’s confidence, stating, “Asaba, we are here, please favour us.”

Head Coach Ayodeji Ayeni, speaking to Oyo Sports, praised the players’ commitment and preparation, assuring that they are fully ready to fight for promotion.

Meanwhile, the draw for the NNL Super 8 is expected to hold on Thursday, with all clubs advised to send their representatives.
