Ekwueme Donates to Pepsi Academy, Inspires Young Talents in Aba

Enyimba FC Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, has made a meaningful contribution to grassroots football by donating footballs and a cash gift of ₦100,000 to the Pepsi Football Academy in Aba.

The event, held at the Enyimba International Stadium where the academy trains weekly, brought together aspiring young footballers, their coaches, and parents. Ekwueme, joined by members of Enyimba's management and the president of the supporters’ club, used the occasion to inspire the kids while reaffirming the club’s commitment to youth development.

In his remarks, Ekwueme encouraged the youngsters to remain focused on their football careers, urging them to respect their coaches and parents. He tasked them to keep their dream of playing for Enyimba FC alive, calling it “the club they were born to cheer and support.”

He also promised to provide the academy with training jerseys for the next football season, assuring them that Enyimba FC would always stand by them in their football journey.

Ekwueme’s gesture is in line with Enyimba’s longstanding tradition of promoting youth football and supporting community-based initiatives. The donation not only strengthens the bond between the club and local talents but also gives hope to young players aspiring to reach the professional stage.

With such support, the Pepsi Football Academy in Aba continues to be a fertile ground for grooming future stars, and Ekwueme’s involvement serves as a powerful example of leadership and community responsibility.
