Wikki Tourists Football Club have received a major morale boost ahead of the 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight Playoff, following a royal endorsement from the Emir of Bauchi, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu.
The Emir gave his assurance of support during a courtesy visit by the club’s delegation, led by Chairman Engr. Auwal Gotal, to the Emir’s palace in Bauchi. The visit formed part of the club’s wider efforts to engage key stakeholders as they prepare for the decisive playoff in Asaba, Delta State.
During the visit, the Emir praised Wikki Tourists for their resilience throughout the season, describing the team as a symbol of pride and unity for Bauchi State. He stated that Wikki Tourists belong in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and urged all stakeholders to throw their weight behind the club’s promotion push.
Chairman Engr. Gotal, in his remarks, thanked the Emir for his continued support. He explained that the visit was to formally inform the royal father of the club’s qualification for the Super Eight and to seek his blessings, prayers, and counsel.
A commemorative Wikki Tourists FC souvenir was presented to the Emir, after which a group photograph was taken with club officials and palace dignitaries — a gesture symbolising the enduring bond between the traditional institution and the club.
The visit is one of several strategic moves by Wikki Tourists as they intensify preparations for the promotion-deciding playoff.
