The Chairman of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, Malam Ibrahim Mainu Mustapha, has assured supporters of a successful campaign as the club continues preparations for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Speaking during the official unveiling of new signings and the distribution of training kits to players, Mustapha expressed strong belief in the team’s readiness and ambition.
“Yes, we are ready for the season, In Sha Allah,” said the Chairman. “We trust in God, and He will be there for us. You are going to see a different El-Kanemi Warriors FC - a highly formidable team capable of competing with any side in Nigeria, across Africa, and even globally,” he told El-kanemi Warriors media.
He emphasised that the club's goal is to secure a top-three finish this season, with an eye on returning to continental football — a stage El-Kanemi Warriors has graced in the past.
Supporters have also been urged to anticipate an attractive brand of football under the guidance of head coach Kabiru Dogo, who continues to adapt to life at the helm in Maiduguri.
The club’s media officer, GAGA, reaffirmed the team's aspirations and echoed support for the squad known affectionately as Babagana Umara Zulum Boys.
El-Kanemi Warriors are preparing with renewed determination as they seek to re-establish themselves among Nigeria’s football elite.
