Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has rewarded Super Falcons coach, Justin Madugu, with a fully furnished three-bedroom bungalow and a cash gift of N50 million following Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Madugu, an indigene of Numan Local Government Area in Adamawa, was honoured on Friday during a ceremony held at the Government House in Yola. The event was marked by a warm reception, with Governor Fintiri describing the coach as a symbol of national pride and excellence.

According to a statement from the Adamawa State Government, Governor Fintiri commended Madugu for his "patriotism, technical brilliance and commitment to national glory", which contributed to the Super Falcons’ successful campaign at WAFCON 2024.

The governor further noted that the reward was not just a personal recognition for Madugu but also an inspiration for young talents across the state to pursue excellence in sports and national service.
