Enyimba FC forward, Chidera Michael Abraham, has set his sights on victory as the People’s Elephant travel to Lagos for their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 6 clash against Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Sunday.
The Onitsha-born striker, who has scored twice in three substitute appearances, believes his side are primed for success in the nation’s commercial capital.
“The atmosphere in camp is joyous and everyone is happy with where we are at the moment. On Sunday against Ikorodu City, our aim is to win all three points. We want to take the maximum points back to Aba,” Abraham told Enyimba Media ahead of the 5:30 pm kick-off on Sunday.
Asked if he hopes to start or continue his role from the bench, he prioritised team success over personal ambition. “It is up to the coaches to decide the tactics. But whoever starts, the fans should expect an exciting game and a good result.”
Since 2024, the two sides have met twice, with Enyimba winning once in Aba and earning a draw in Lagos. With the Mobolaji Johnson Arena set to host another meeting, anticipation is high for an entertaining contest.
Abraham, who joined Enyimba this season, is eager to make a lasting impression. “Enyimba FC is the best in Nigeria and among the best in Africa. My ambition is to excel with this great club, and I believe the glory days will soon return with trophies.”
With both teams ready for battle, all eyes will be on the new attacking sensation as Enyimba chase maximum points in Lagos.
