Klingshak Longbak delivered a commanding performance as Wikki Tourists held Kano Pillars to a 1-1 draw in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 2 clash at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
In a pulsating northern derby, Longbak’s composure and vision in midfield were the highlight of the evening, earning him praise from fans and analysts.
Wikki Tourists struck first in the 12th minute through Louis Dadong, after Longbak initiated the move with a deft turn and a precise pass that carved open the Pillars’ defence. The hosts equalised late in the first half with a scrappy finish, but the Wikki playmaker continued to dominate proceedings in the centre of the pitch.
Longbak combined attacking creativity with defensive solidity, breaking up play, winning key duels, and recycling possession with remarkable intelligence.
Though the match ended in a stalemate, his performance underscored why he is regarded as one of the NPFL’s brightest prospects. Should he maintain this level, national team attention may not be far away.
For now, Wikki Tourists supporters will take pride in watching their midfield maestro orchestrate games with such confidence and class.
