The Nigeria National League (NNL) will on Tuesday hold its 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Chuckker Resort, located along the Kaduna-Jos Expressway, Maraban Jos, Kaduna State.
Delegates and representatives from the 36 clubs participating in the 2025/2026 season are expected at the gathering. The meeting will focus on the league’s format and style for the new campaign, with rules and regulations to be reviewed and approved.
NNL Chairman, Chief George Aluo, underscored the importance of the AGM, noting that it will provide a platform to assess the previous season and identify areas requiring improvement. He added that the league is working towards aligning its calendar closely with that of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, will serve as the chief host and special guest of honour, and is expected to officially declare the AGM open. He will be accompanied by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Sports Development, Professor Benjamin Kumai Gugong, and the Commissioner for Local Government Area Matters, Sadiq Mamman-Lagos.
Also in attendance will be the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, alongside General Secretary Dr Mohammed Sanusi and Executive Member Babagana Kalli, who also chairs the NFF Match Commissioner and Security Committees.
The AGM is regarded as a vital step towards ensuring the smooth organisation of the 2025/2026 NNL season.
