In a landmark initiative to promote grassroots football and youth development in Nigeria, SEVA Group has announced plans to reward the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) at each of the 16 centres hosting the 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO) U19 Play-Offs.
The global brand marketing and distribution company confirmed its participation through an official communication to the NLO, stating: “We are pleased to inform you that the Management of SEVA Group wholeheartedly accepts your request.”
Speaking on the development, SEVA Group’s Managing Director, Dr Fiyinfoluwa Adeeko, highlighted the company’s enduring commitment to youth empowerment.
“Football is more than just a sport; it serves as a powerful tool for youth empowerment, community engagement, and national unity,” said Dr Adeeko. “For decades, SEVA Group has been committed to investing in initiatives that promote education, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition, and social growth. Our decision to partner with the NLO aligns perfectly with our vision of nurturing young talents and creating platforms for youth to thrive and excel.”
The partnership will see each MVP receive a performance certificate and a cash prize, an initiative SEVA Group believes will inspire excellence, discipline, and resilience among young footballers.
Chief Operating Officer of the NLO, Olushola Ogunnowo, praised the collaboration, describing it as a significant boost to the league’s mission.
“We are delighted to have SEVA Group as partners as we enter the final phase of the NLO U19 Youth League season,” Ogunnowo said. “Their support will go a long way in not only rewarding talent but also encouraging grassroots development across the country.”
The 2025 NLO U19 Play-Offs, widely regarded as Nigeria’s biggest youth football tournament, will be staged across 16 centres nationwide. At each location, SEVA Group will honour one standout player, reinforcing its mission to create opportunities for young people and contribute meaningfully to grassroots sports development.
