Doma United secured a crucial 1-0 away win against Mighty Jets at the New Jos Stadium on Saturday. The lone goal came just before halftime from former Mighty Jets player Mathew Okpahe Ogonyi in the 44th minute.
Despite heavy pressure from the home side in the second half, Doma United remained composed. The visitors controlled possession with calm tiki-taka passing, frustrating Mighty Jets’ attacking efforts.
Goalkeeper Emmanuel Oche was outstanding for Doma, making several key saves to maintain the clean sheet. The defenders also showed great resilience, consistently clearing danger.
Coach Najib Mabo, who previously managed Mighty Jets, fielded a solid formation that ensured his team held firm under pressure. This victory marks Doma United’s second consecutive win, moving them to second place in Northern Group C with six points.
Supporters who travelled from Gombe to back the team played their part in securing the result.
Doma United will return home to face A.B.S of Ilorin at Pantami Stadium in their next fixture.
