Barely a week to the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs, FIFA has appointed a team of match officials from South Africa to take charge of the crucial semifinal clash between Nigeria and Gabon.
According to information released by UK-based journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, Tom Abongile will serve as the centre referee. He will be assisted by Zakhele Siwela, with Akhona Makalima appointed as the Video Assistant Referee. Hughes Alain Ndjovi has been named as the referee assessor.
