The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced a mandatory digital platform for player registration and club licensing ahead of the 2025/26 Premiership season. The portal, set to go live on November 14, aims to eliminate manual delays, enhance verification processes, and ensure greater compliance among all participating clubs.
Modupe Shabi, Chief Operating Officer of NWFL, explained that the new system will help tackle issues such as age falsification, dual registration, and irregular player transfers. She added that the move brings the league in line with global administrative standards.
All clubs must complete their registration and licensing submissions between November 14 and 21 to participate in the upcoming season.
