Barau Football Club have officially parted ways with their Head Coach, Ladan Bosso, following a review of the club’s performances in the first round of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
In a statement dated 30 December 2025 and signed by the club’s General Manager, Dominic Isrfa, the Kano-based side confirmed that Bosso has been directed to step aside from his role with immediate effect.
The club said the decision was taken to re-energise the technical department and boost performance in line with Barau FC’s ambitions for the remainder of the season.
Bosso has also been instructed to hand over responsibilities to his immediate assistant, who will take charge of the team going forward, while all club property in his possession is to be returned to the club’s secretariat.
Barau FC expressed appreciation for the coach’s service during his time with the club and assured him that all remuneration contained in his contractual agreement would be treated accordingly.
The decision comes with Barau FC currently sitting 17th on the NPFL table after 19 matches. The Maliya Boys have recorded five wins, seven draws and eight defeats, accumulating 21 points and remaining firmly in the relegation zone.
With the second stanza of the season approaching, pressure continues to mount on the club as they battle to retain their top-flight status.
