El-Kanemi Warriors FC are preparing for a decisive duel this weekend as they welcome newly promoted Barau FC of Kano to the El-Kanemi Warriors Sports Complex in Maiduguri. The Babagana Umara Zulum Boys returned home after two consecutive away fixtures and immediately resumed intensive training under head coach Kabiru Dogo.
The team has been engaged in rigorous fitness and tactical sessions as they aim to secure a crucial home victory. El-Kanemi Warriors currently sit 15th on the league table with 18 points and are keen to improve their position.
Both sides last met in a pre-season friendly at the Danbatta Stadium in Kano State. El-Kanemi Warriors won the first leg 1–0, while Barau FC claimed a 2–1 victory in the return fixture.
Technical Adviser Kabiru Dogo said the spirit in camp is strong and the players have moved on from their recent setbacks. He expressed confidence that his team can deliver the required result and bounce back from two straight away defeats.
