Niger, Benin, Two Others Set for WAFU B U-15 Semifinal as Nigeria and Ghana Fall Short



Burkina Faso will face Benin Republic in the first semifinal of the 2025 WAFU-B U-15 Secondary School Championship in Ouagadougou.

The host nation secured their place in the last four after topping Group A with four points, earning one win and one draw.

Benin Republic advanced as runners-up from Group B with three points, following one victory and one defeat in the group stage.

In the second semifinal, Côte d’Ivoire will take on Niger Republic at the Stade du 4 Août. Côte d’Ivoire finished as winners of Group B with three points from two matches, while Niger qualified as Group A runners-up with two points after drawing both group games.

Both semifinal matches are scheduled for today, with the third-place playoff and final set for Thursday.

Notably, regional powerhouses Nigeria and Ghana failed to progress beyond the group phase, exiting the competition earlier than expected.
