Nigeria’s U-15 boys’ team will aim for a quick turnaround when they face Benin Republic on Tuesday following a 4–1 loss to Côte d’Ivoire in their opening match of the CAF Schools Football Championship qualifiers in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Competing only in the boys’ category of the four-day regional tournament, Nigeria is desperate for their first win to stay in contention for a semifinal spot. The crucial encounter with Benin Republic kicks off at 9:00 a.m. at Stade du 4 Août.
This year’s zonal competition features teams from Burkina Faso, Ghana, Benin Republic, Niger Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, and Nigeria. Fixtures continue through midweek, with semifinals scheduled for Wednesday, followed by the third-place playoff and final on Thursday.
