Wikki Tourists FC have praised the determination and fighting spirit of their players following a 2-2 draw against Warri Wolves in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 19 encounter on Sunday.
The game, played at the Southern Delta University Stadium, saw Wikki Tourists show character as they battled back to secure a point in a tightly contested fixture.
Imamu Bala Magaji was the standout performer, scoring twice to keep Wikki Tourists in the contest, while Seth Mayi and Ezekiel Oroh found the net for Warri Wolves.
Reacting after the match, the Bauchi-based club applauded the attitude of the players, insisting the performance could signal a turnaround in their campaign.
“A true show of character, resilience, and determination,” the club stated.
Wikki Tourists expressed optimism that the display against Warri Wolves could end their goal drought and spark improved results in the second half of the season.
“Here’s hoping this marks the beginning of more goals, stronger performances, and consistent results in the matches ahead,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, the club has also announced the commencement of a mid-season break for players and technical crew.
According to a statement released by the club’s management, the break runs from Tuesday, 30 December 2025, to Sunday, 4 January 2026, and is designed to allow the squad enjoy a well-deserved rest ahead of the New Year.
The management praised the discipline and hard work shown by the players and coaching staff in the first half of the season, while also thanking supporters for their unwavering backing.
Wikki Tourists reaffirmed their commitment to returning stronger and delivering improved performances in the remainder of the NPFL campaign.
