Wikki Tourists target stronger second-round campaign

Wikki Tourists have vowed to return stronger in the second stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League as the season enters its decisive phase.

The Bauchi-based side endured a mixed first round, recording five wins, eight draws and six defeats from 19 matches.

That run leaves the Bauchi Elephants in 14th position on the NPFL table with 23 points, just above the relegation zone heading into the mid-season break.

In a club statement released on Tuesday, Wikki Tourists reaffirmed their commitment to improving performances and results in the remainder of the campaign.

“We remain committed to coming back stronger and giving our fans more reasons to cheer in the remainder of the season,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, the team has embarked on a five-day mid-season break to allow players and officials recover ahead of the second round.

Wikki Tourists are expected to resume training on Sunday, January 4, 2026, as preparations begin for the second stanza of the NPFL season.
