Ufere Sets the Tone as Enyimba Outclass 3SC in Aba

Enyimba FC rounded off the year in emphatic fashion with a commanding 3-0 victory over Shooting Stars SC in their Nigeria Premier Football League clash in Aba.

The People’s Elephant took control early and never looked back, producing a dominant display that earned them maximum points and a clean sheet.

Ufere Chinedu broke the deadlock in the 16th minute, calmly slotting home after a well-timed cut-back from Isah Mohamed. The goal proved decisive at the interval as Enyimba went into the break with a deserved 1-0 lead.

Shooting Stars emerged with intent in the second half and were handed a golden opportunity to draw level in the 49th minute when they were awarded a penalty. However, goalkeeper Henry Anozie rose to the occasion, producing a crucial save to preserve Enyimba’s advantage.

The visitors continued to push, creating chances through Awosanmi Promise, Ayodele Ismail and Qamar Adegoke, but they were repeatedly denied by solid defending and assured goalkeeping.

Enyimba sealed the contest late on. Edidiong Ezekiel doubled the lead in the 84th minute with a well-taken finish, before Chidera Micheal added a third deep into stoppage time to complete a comprehensive victory.

The result underlined Enyimba’s dominance on the night and ensured they closed the year on a high, while Shooting Stars were left to rue missed chances and a costly penalty miss.
