Alebiosu Set to Resume Super Eagles Training Ahead of AFCON Quarter-Final

Ryan Alebiosu is set to return to training with the Super Eagles after recovering from a leg injury.

The defender has been sidelined since sustaining the injury during Nigeria’s final group match against Uganda at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

There were initial concerns that the setback could rule Alebiosu out of the tournament. However, it is understood that the injury has healed well, placing the defender back in contention for selection as Nigeria continue their campaign in Morocco.

His return comes as a boost for the Super Eagles, who have already been hit by the loss of Panathinaikos forward Cyriel Dessers. The Greece-based striker has been ruled out of the competition due to a thigh injury.

The Super Eagles will resume preparations tonight ahead of their quarter-final clash with Algeria.
