Barau FC have reportedly identified Abdullahi Maikaba as a leading candidate for the vacant technical adviser position at the club.
Maikaba is currently in charge of Nigeria Premier Football League side Wikki Tourists, where he serves as technical adviser.
Reports suggest that the Kano-based club believe the experienced tactician fits the profile required to lead the team forward following recent changes in the dugout.
Maikaba’s reputation for building competitive and disciplined teams is understood to have attracted the interest of the Maliya Boys.
The veteran coach has previously handled top-flight sides including former NPFL champions Rangers and Kano Pillars, adding to his appeal as a proven figure in Nigerian football.
Barau FC are in search of a new technical adviser after parting ways with Ladan Bosso earlier this week.
