CAF Champions League: Rivers United Target Turnaround Against Power Dynamos

Rivers United goalkeeper Osagie Onisodumeya has expressed confidence that the club can turn its CAF Champions League campaign around when they face Zambia’s Power Dynamos next weekend.

The Pride of Rivers will travel to Ndola to take on Power Dynamos in a Matchday Three fixture at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday. The reverse fixture is scheduled for a week later at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Despite failing to win their opening two matches in the group stage, Onisodumeya believes Rivers United have what it takes to secure maximum points across both legs.

“Definitely we will get a good result in the game against Power Dynamos in Zambia next week,” the goalkeeper said ahead of the encounter.

“We will also beat them here in Uyo and move up on the group table.”

Rivers United will be aiming for their first victory of the group phase as they look to revive their hopes of progressing in the competition.
