CAF Releases Full Fixtures for 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

The Confederation of African Football has officially released the full fixtures for the African qualifiers of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, outlining the match-ups across the first, second and third qualifying rounds.

The qualification campaign will be played over three rounds in a home-and-away format, with the winners securing Africa’s slots at the global tournament.

First Round Fixtures

The opening round will feature 15 two-legged ties:

• Niger vs Guinea

• Burkina Faso vs Benin

• Sierra Leone vs Côte d’Ivoire

• Tunisia vs Senegal

• Algeria vs Cameroon

• Togo vs Ghana

• Libya vs Liberia

• Rwanda vs Zambia

• DR Congo vs Djibouti

• South Sudan vs Ethiopia

• Malawi vs Burundi

• Botswana vs Tanzania

• Central African Republic vs South Africa

• Zimbabwe vs Uganda

• Namibia vs Kenya

First-leg matches will be played on April 10, 11 and 12, 2026, while the return legs are scheduled for April 17, 18 and 19, 2026.

Second Round Fixtures

Nigeria will enter the competition at the second-round stage, where the Flamingos will face the winner of the tie between Niger and Guinea.

Other second-round fixtures are as follows:

• Winner of Burkina Faso vs Benin vs Winner of Sierra Leone vs Côte d’Ivoire

• Winner of Tunisia vs Senegal vs Winner of Algeria vs Cameroon

• Winner of Togo vs Ghana vs Winner of Libya vs Liberia

• Winner of Rwanda vs Zambia vs Winner of DR Congo vs Djibouti

• Winner of South Sudan vs Ethiopia vs Winner of Malawi vs Burundi

• Winner of Botswana vs Tanzania vs Winner of Central African Republic vs South Africa

• Winner of Zimbabwe vs Uganda vs Winner of Namibia vs Kenya

Second-round first legs will take place on May 22, 23 and 24, with the return fixtures billed for May 29, 30 and 31, 2026.

Third Round Fixtures

The final qualifying round will determine Africa’s representatives at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The fixtures will be arranged as follows:

• Winners of matches 31 and 32 vs Winners of matches 33 and 34

• Winners of matches 35 and 36 vs Winners of matches 37 and 38

• Winners of matches 39 and 40 vs Winners of matches 41 and 42

• Winners of matches 43 and 44 vs Winners of matches 45 and 46

Third-round first-leg matches are scheduled for July 3, 4 and 5, with the decisive return legs set for July 10, 11 and 12, 2026.

With Nigeria waiting in the second round and several heavyweight ties already confirmed, the African qualifiers promise intense competition as teams battle for a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
