Kano Pillars confirm Bernard Ovoke signing as NPFL26 enters second stanza



Kano Pillars Football Club have confirmed the signing of winger Bernard Ovoke as the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season moves into its second phase.

With 19 matches already played and 19 still to come, the Sai Masu Gida have moved to strengthen their squad ahead of the second stanza of the campaign.

The club announced that Ovoke has signed a deal until the end of the current season, with an option to extend the contract by a further year.

Ovoke brings considerable top-flight experience to Kano Pillars, having previously featured in the NPFL for Rivers United, Enyimba FC, Plateau United, Kwara United, Bendel Insurance and Bayelsa United.



In a statement released by the club, Kano Pillars expressed satisfaction at completing the signing as preparations intensify for the decisive half of the season.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of winger, Bernard Ovoke, who joins the club until the end of the season, with an option for a one-year renewal,” the statement read.

The club also welcomed the winger with a message aimed at supporters, highlighting his expected impact in the remaining fixtures.



“Welcome to the Pride of Kano, Ovoke. Time to light up the flanks in Sai Masu Gida colours,” the statement added.

Ovoke becomes a key addition for Kano Pillars as they look to improve their fortunes in the second stanza of the NPFL26 season.
