USM Alger Brush Aside Djoliba to Stay Perfect in Confederation Cup Group

USM Alger maintained their strong run in the CAF Confederation Cup with a controlled 2-0 victory over Djoliba, recording a third consecutive Group A win.

The hosts took an early lead in the 12th minute when Zakaria Draoui finished from close range after a well-weighted cross from Houssam Ghacha.

USM Alger dominated possession and territory, creating several scoring opportunities as Ghacha and Dramane Kamagate forced multiple saves from Djoliba goalkeeper Wilfried Kouassi.

Djoliba threatened occasionally through Boua Kané and Fodé Touré, but Oussama Benbot remained assured in goal to deny the visitors any breakthrough.

The decisive second goal arrived in the 80th minute when Ahmed Khaldi produced a superb left-footed finish from the right side of the penalty area, curling the ball into the top corner following a swift counter attack involving Kamagate.

Both sides made late substitutions, but USM Alger stayed in control to secure another clean sheet and tighten their hold at the top of Group A.
