Alansmith Nigeria Limited has received commendation from the Confederation of African Football following an inspection of the FC Ebedei Stadium in Sagamu.
A CAF delegation led by Omar Amr, alongside Fatima Elmissaoui, Herve Dassoundo, Mahmoud Amer, Diabate Zakarhiya, Hend Thabet and WAFU B Executive Director Philippe Tchere, visited the facility last week to assess its readiness.
The stadium is one of the venues proposed by the Nigeria Football Federation to host the final phase of the 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship.
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Alansmith Nigeria Limited, Joshua Adamu, expressed satisfaction with the feedback from the inspection team.
He said the positive remarks confirm the company’s standards in quality delivery and project execution.
Adamu explained that the artificial turfs installed at the stadium were tested in Europe to ensure accurate speed, ball bounce and ankle movement for players.
According to him, the 60mm FIFA standard artificial turf, combined with a shock pad and French drainage system, provides good ball feel and ensures fast drainage during wet conditions.
The 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship final phase is expected to host 24 teams. Eight boys’ teams and eight girls’ teams from across Africa will compete, alongside eight invited teams from another FIFA confederation.
The tournament will be the largest edition since its inception in 2022.
